Position:
Machinist Department:
Manufacturing Reports
to: Manufacturing Supervisor Work
Week: Monday Friday 7:00am 4:30pm Overview: Engages in
machining precision metal products by performing the following duties.
·
Reads
blueprints or work orders for product specifications such as dimensions and
tolerances and tooling instructions. ·
Able
to select the correct tools and settings necessary to produce, manufactured
goods within SACs quality standard. ·
Able
to work in various areas of machining. ·
Have
working knowledge of CNC programming and processes ·
Able
to communicate effectively and in a professional manner to superiors and
peers regarding, safety, quality and production. ·
Maintains
time and production records. ·
Able
to safely drive a forklift and has passed the mandatory SAC fork lift
training. ·
Assist
in the training of less experienced Machinists. Qualifications: Minimum of
3 years CNC machining experience using lathes and mills, experience with
geometric dimensioning and tolerance, and using tooling and fixtures on
various machines. Must be a self
starter with the ability to multi-task, use inspection gauges and follow oral
and written instructions.
